Please be aware that the MAWA insurance coverage is dependent on all members adhering to all MAWA policies and procedures. Clubs should in particular familiarize themselves with the MAWA Harassment and Abuse Policy. This policy must be rigidly followed. Also all coaches and other volunteers having a supervisory role involving children under the age of 18 must pass a Child Abuse Registry Check. It is the responsibility of each club to ensure that these checks are properly completed. Also an easily accessible basic first aid kit must be present at all events. It is also recommended that clubs have someone with first aid training available at practices as well as encouraging their coaches to take NCCP coaching levels.
