Coaching and Leading Effectively, Prevention and Recovery, Developing Athletic Abilities and Psychology of Performance, attendance is mandatory in both parts for trained status.

Which level is right for me?
MAWA offers two levels of coaching clinics. Minimum age requirement for coaches is 16.
Do you want to coach beginning wrestlers? Interested in working with elementary or junior high age groups?
Don't have a lot of wrestling experience but want to learn? We have a coaching course for you!
Community Coaching - Kids Wrestling is a one day clinic for new coaches wanting to coach beginning or young athletes. Cost: $65.00 Includes coaches manual, lesson plan manual and instructional DVD.
Do you have wrestling experience? Do you want to coach competitive athletes at the high school level? Then the Competition Introduction coaching course is the course take. This course is required for anyone who wants to coach competitive athletes at the high school level. It is also recommended for those coaching serious junior high competitors. This course is taught in two weekend sessions, Part A (16 hours) and Part B (20 hours). Cost $90.00 per part. Includes coaches manual and instructional DVD.
This course is for those that want to coach advanced athletes and is the level needed for coaching at Junior/Senior National Championships, Canada Games and university level athletes. Coaches entering this stream must take 6 Multi-Sport modules. These modules are offered through Coaching Manitoba. Additional there are wrestling specific requirements. More information will be posted when these course become available.
